Oil change C5

Hi,always service me car with 10w40 semi syn, but in manual it says 5w30 energy saver can be used Total future 9000,i have found some on ebay 3 x 5ltr for £60 which i dont think is bad. Any one used this oil in a C52.0hdi and what do u think ?

The C5 manual says you should not use energy saving oil (ie. Quartz Future 9000) on any HDi engine with particle filter (FAP). So check whether your car has FAP (eg. series 2 C5 HDi has FAP as standard).

If it has FAP you should use Total Quartz Ineo instead.

Hi, mine has no FAP pre facelift so should be okay. Cheers
