Forte stop leak....

Post by vince »

Hi guys,

Do you know of any drawbacks to using Forte stop leak?

Im not sure if my matrix is leaking at all, but it does curry smell for a minute or so when the heater is switched on from the car being started up, after that its fine  ?

So was going to bung some in just to make sure.

Anyone know where its available from?

Hmm, a curry smell a few minutes after starting does indicate a leaking matrix, take a look for traces of white power from the vents to confirm it. Forte' is apparently recommended by Valeo to be used when fitting a new matrix, I've bought a few bottles from here who have provided me with a reliable service.

Great stuff thanks Richard

You are right, the Valeo matrixes we sell for Xantias etc have a recommendation inside to include a treatment of Forte stop leak

I will pick up some this week as i dont yet have the wet carpet or white stuff in the vents but if left you know it will happen
