I'm not fussed though to be honest.

I barely see 20 from my Alfa so it's not really an issue for me.

Here IT IS!! Lovly!

Was getting a nice price when I last seen it..

Paul
It's got shoddy wheels with wheel trims....

Saw that one and wasn't too impressed.

David.
I have to agree with you David.

It's going for a good price but clearly the small print at the bottom has not been read carefully. This in particular.. It has a leaky (I expect badly corroded) hydractive electrovalve
Rear leveling valve has slow leak. (On hydractive block:disconnected-not essential)
It is essential. It means the rear is stuck in hard mode all the time if the valve is disconnected.

That and the key broken in the LPG cap...

Too much to pay with those faults present in my book...

Still, it is said to have good rams and that's worth its weight in gold...

Still not worth the money it's sitting on. That red one a while back with
a £800 buy it now was better and we all criticised the price level then.
They may be rare, but there's a limit to overpaying for a car with issues,
LPG or no LPG. I'd suggest it appears in a month's time without the LPG!!

Are folk really going to syphon off some LPG!!!

I wondered if the one at Arran Motors would be any good for a V6 donor.

Would go for less than £500 cash if he's not seeing business - probably got
it as a p/ex or no other bidders car auction lot. I'd say though it's too nice
a car as it is now to chop about as an experiment and a better bargain than
the blue ebay lpg car! It's the right colour and IIRC it's a sunroof car.

It's a sunroof car, yea which puts me off....

I don't like the lowered head lining, and they always end up leaking lol.

I know what you mean, it is a bit tidy to butcher.

I hate sunroofs becuase on the Xantia, they are badly fitted, nosey, wind noise, rattles, and a loss of headroom!

You guys have some duff Xantiae!! Only kidding...

I don't mind the difference in headlining as I'm not as tall as othere but when
you see most people sitting in any Xantia you'll see mountains of space above
them!

I tend to feel a bit claustraphobic in a car with no light poking through above
and it's great to pop a tiny bit on tilt to ventilate without any excessive noise.
I only buy cars with sunroofs and certainly haven't seen a Xantia or a CX leak
yet although Xm's do although that's likely due to broken mechanisms which
haven't closed properly or leaks through teh front of the sunroof tray/aerial
base. I'd guess about 90% of all post '96 Xantiae will have aircon so a sunroof
car IS rare!! Especially the case as AC was standard and a sunroof an optional
extra or an either or option.

In the end, that red Arran Motors car is a damned nice car and really a good
price - fortunately it's just a few quid too much for the Activa butchers!

Welcome back to Xantia ownership Toby, looks like you've bagged a good one, do upload some higher resolution pics :D

I'm with andmcit on sunroofs, its nice to have light from the roof above your head, even though the loss of head room is annoying.
