Shame it's not a MK1 with the Blaupunkt. There are code calculators knocking around for those. Not sure about the MK2 Clarion. Someone will know...

A dealer will be able to furnish the code for a small fee and the VIN number, provided the radio is the same one as it started out with...

It should be in the papers with the handbook.

People usually make a note somewhere in the handbook. Another long shot is that someone may have marked it on the side casing of radio.

Mine was actually printed on one of the documents - possibly the initial receipt for the car.

I could be wrong but try 6662 that's what's in my handbook. It's worth at least one try :D

When new Citroen Dealers wrote key/code and radio details on a plastic card
credit card sized so have a prod about the car (sunvisor?) and handbook pack.

There are sites that will give you the code based on the radio serial number
for around 20-25quid but it's cheaper buying a working one off ebay!!

If you have a Clarion unit then you will not be able to calculate the code from any serial numbers (apart from quoting the cars VIN at the dealer). There is an 8pin surface mounted IC on the mainboard which contains the code, this can be read by making up a serial adapter cable and using a specific program. I have the details on the laptop which I'll dig out if you like. Very risky procedure as if you destroy the IC then you have a dead radio unless you can get hold of an identical preprogrammed IC, or a cheap blank one along with a burner and someone who can give you an image of the contents of the IC.

Contact the dealer who sold the car new. Some of them keep a local record of the number, and will give it to the owner for free.

I have this too.. the program runs in a DOS window...

I Have successfully removed 4 chips, read them and re fitted them ..

Its the only way unless you want to pay the dealer about 30 quid to look it up...

Hi Mike, The best FREE way is to remove the unit from the the dash, get all the serial/model number etc off the label stuck on the case.
Then join THIS forum and then post a request with those details and hopefully someone gets back to you with the code (Usually within 24 hrs) as they did for me once !
I hope this maybe of help :D
