interior lights and keypad

Post by candy »

when we got the car the keypad was unpluged owner said its was because he was sick of punching in code everytime he got in ...we plugged it in and it was fine , drove 200 miles in it on wednesday and after 180 miles noticed the interior lights came on whilst driving .. when we locked car they went off then after 15 seconds came back on ... i unplugged the keypad and everything was fine they work as they should... anybody know what can be causing this is it an electrical fault or is it to do with the contacts

Sounds like weirdness with the body module that controls locking and inferior lights. I'd be looking for a pinched wire.

When you remote lock the car, does it stay locked?
