Banana rod!

Post by Chlorate »

Whipped the wheel off today to assess the damage after my little misfortune on the M20 the other week.
Found a nice bananaficated track rod.

Apologies for the bad picture quality, was using my brother's camera phone and a torch.

Luckily everything else looks alright, could have been a hell of a lot worse.

I need some new tyres :D

I checked the other side to play spot the difference since the impact was only a glancing hit to the nearside, everything fine over there.
I was really expecting the suspension arm to be wonky, but was quite relieved to see that it was just the track rod.

With any luck the car will be back on the road soonish.

good luck, it's not such a bad job that is it, at least you'll get ur tracking spot on when it's done, nothing worse than bad tracking and off centre steering wheel.... ewww

I'd only just straightened up my steering wheel the day before the accident
That was the most annoying part really

Mine needs doing, but until I get new drop links and new front tyres, pointless really.
