If you suceed Dave, you'll have the majoirty of S2 owners after you, as the S2 cables I think arent as strong as S1 cars, and fail a lot..

I assume you mean the winder has the anti pinch ECU built onto it..

Are they the same unit as the S2 Xantias?

I dont think the winder has the anti pinch on it, the old 9 pin did, THe 2 pin has a seperate control box that does the anti pinch i think- either that or i have lost anti pinch!

I have just got the rear windows working by re connecting the passenger side control box, but still no power going to the passenger window :?

Have you checked/changed all the switches, including those in the centre console, as they are in series, they will stop each other working.

Sucess of sorts...
I now have three windows working rather than zero!
Rear and passenger work.
I think either i have blown up the drivers control box or i havnt done the wiring properly, think both are equaly likley. Just need the diagram then ill know.

The window was operating fine before i removed it from the donor car.

Hi Dave

The wiring diagram in the BOL covers it completely.
Identical wiring for Mk1 XM's and SX Mk2's.
The drivers door switch is a 6 pin passing contact switch. The control
box electronics then switches the winder motor feeds on and off.
The high current 12V supply for the winder motor has to go direct to the control box not via the switch.
The 12V to the drivers door window switch just runs the switch illumination bulbs so is not essential for things to work.
All the other winder switches actually switch the high current 12V feed to the winder motor.
With your mods one touch should still work but you lose anti-pinch.

Cheers John,
I just cant seem to get the box to output the 12v, i will have another crack at it tomorrow and report back... hopefully with more good news!
Next major job is the ABS, not looking forward to that one!
