LHM flush

LHM flush
I think I may have dropped a boo boo,
I changed my LHM for hydroflush on the 7th Oct and haven't had time to replace it with LHM (I've now done almost 3k).
In the larst three days my power stearing had got heavy, is this due to the flush being in too long ?
Just got new LHM but it's snowing out there so will have to do it another day.

Snowing
Hydraflush generally is not intended to be left in beyond about 1500 miles. At 3K it'll be getting tired most likely.
Some owners who do a very tiny mileage run on nothing else.
Swap it and see. Do check your filters though as the Hydraflush could have pulled up enough muck and rubbish to choke them and thus heavy steering..

I wish I had a big garage at this time of year Mark.. I have one but it's full of stuff...
Not snowhing here (yet), just perishingly cold.
All the best for the LHM change. I once did a front height corrector when it was -5 outside. Not funny, especially when laying on your back on cold concrete...

I changed the engine/box on a mini when I was 18.
It was December and there was 6" of snow on the ground,
I'd never done an engine swap before and it took me 4 days,
work for 1 hour, go inside for 1 hour to worm up ect ect.
when washing my hands cold tap water has never felt so hot.
After all that the big ends whent 2 weeks later and the car was scrapped.

A few years ago I had to change the engine and gearbox mounts on my Volvo estate. Had to dig my way down to the damned thing through the snow. Needed it the following day for work so it had to be done.
Still shiver when I think about it.
Bitterly regret leaving the house with the garage for one with more bedrooms. Shouldn't have had so many kids I suppose.

Polystyrene is an excellent idea, wish I had had some at the time. I have it coming out of my ears these days.
No going to volunteer to dive under a car to try it any time soon, although I should change the oil and filter I'll more than likely delegate with a financial inducement. Possibly a sheet of poly too

I know exactly what you mean, I worked in Sydney for 3 months back in 1998. It was way way too hot for me with temperatures regularly in the high 30's. I'd never have coped without the aircon in my hire car.addo wrote:Have you blokes any idea what temperature it is here, today?
Laying under an icy cold car? There'd be a bloodbath as people rushed for the opportunity.
Flew back to UK and -10 degs. I was frozen for days.
Still haven't found coffee as good as Coluzzi's in Darlinghurst though.

I love this weather. The colder the better. Not too keen on heat though. Even our very mild summers are too hot for me.
