Hi all,
The forum advice said that my accumulator sphere was most likely dead.
So went to GFS at thurruck parted with the money changed it all fine?
no.[:o)]
Took the car to a local specialist, told them to sort it.
Phone call later, "Dead sphere mate, some life left in it but way down on pressure."
Car working fine and I'm about to charge down there to ram it down their throats....

I try to order my bits direct from Andyspares. My local GSF don't have much idea about Citroen stuff and probably don't move that much, so I had thought there spheres may be past their best in the past. They still answer the phone "German & Sweedish" so I don't think they're quite up on the French stuff just yet.
At least ordering from Andyspares you can be sure you're getting the right bits and the carriage isn't too steep.

I understand spheres come from a variety of manufacturers and certain brands can be a bit so so.
I also had a set of spheres regassed (where I am, they can cost more than the cars value; if you can find them!) by a reputable company who also do a pressure & visual internal test & guarantee their reworked products. One blew within 100 klms.
It's also possible that a rough thread or faulty "O" ring could also cause it to deflate rapidly once put into service.
You may have to give them the benefit of the doubt instead of threatening to stick it into various body apertures[:0][:0]
