The last two Xantias I meant Malcom. As Jim says it is usually surface rust on components which are replaceable or are so thick that it knocks off and can be painted.............nothing to worry about really.

Addo: All the Y60 Patrols down under . Very few here of that age that aint on last legs or have been welded silly..........you should see the chassis and wheel arches turn to paper  I`ll get more rust photos up for ya 8)

not a chance, the arb will just twist like its supposed to, i think the suggestion made about it being jacked from the bottom of the droplink is the most likely cause, its the only way you could put enough pressure onto the droplink to bend it..................damn tyre fitters

I'm a few degrees south (so, colder) than where John is heading - although I've half a mind to get him down to my property to dig trenches with me. Next week's forecasts are 36-39-37-42°C through Thursday - in the inland regions add 3°C, dust and gusty winds, subtract humidity.

So, who's picked the right weather?

I didn't think of that having a possible second meaning! Since I'm on the wagon, John would have to drink for me as well.

Could that lower droplink balljoint be seized, causing the bend to occur?
