Got most of it back together but its all the little tubing and brackets that i cant figure out.
I havent worked on these before and i recieved this car in a dismantled state.
If anyone would be as kind to take a few pictures of there bay with the cover off and possibly post them up.
Help is much appreciated
Cheers

I don't have any pictures of the HDi engine (never found the need/desire ) but could take a few if I had a clue as to what area of it you're talking of, bearing in mind that mine is the 110 bhp version it has a couple of large intake pipes running over the top which may block the area you wish to look at.scoles wrote:anyone? surely someone must have a few pictures kicking about of the HDi lump?

Mines is the 110bhp version, i think 3 pictures, one from either side and one from the front of the bay. nothing detailed just general shots. just so i can see where the routing of pipework and that goes.DickieG wrote:I don't have any pictures of the HDi engine (never found the need/desire ) but could take a few if I had a clue as to what area of it you're talking of, bearing in mind that mine is the 110 bhp version it has a couple of large intake pipes running over the top which may block the area you wish to look at.scoles wrote:anyone? surely someone must have a few pictures kicking about of the HDi lump?

The HDi 110 certainly has - those large black pipes running fore and aft over the engine ar to/from the intercooler which is located beside the main radiator, on the right when looking into the engine bay.scoles wrote:One thing i havent even checked for yet is an intercooler? take it these HDi's have one?
They are generally very good but I can't say that mine is.hopefully get her running this weekend so i can start enjoying diesel economy. of which....how goodarethese cars on diesel?

110 HDi has an intercooler, 90 doesn't - this is the easy way to tell the engines apart - the 110 has a second hose running over top of the engine back from the intercooler.
My 110 HDI Estate does 45-47 mpg in mostly open road driving, but then I have a bit of a heavy right foot, and I expect the estates are a bit less slippery than the hatches. The 90 is, according to the offical figures, slightly less efficient than the 110.
