Xsara maitenance trip

Post by derekL »

Hi,
My wife owns a Xsara that I have recently serviced but I cannot seem to re-set the maintenance trip, The hand book is useless. On my C5 it is in the book. Any help please?

Many thanks,

Derek

Here's an explanation for Xantia (should be same in Xsara). This is also valid for Peugeot.

Click link to read the thread --> service indicator reset

Hullo Vert, your second suggestion loks like a real rip-off. Maybe we should all list this technique on Ebay for 1p, just to stop these cowboys.

Image good idea

First I thought it was a joke ... but no, ebay seller is explaining how the process goes on upon receiving the payment

On a citroen xsara before you turn the key press the dash button the one for the mileage don't let it come off, keep it pressed. At the same time turn the key and start the engine, you'll see a count down from 10 on the display when it hits zero let it go, service spanner reset.

Easy as that :) :D

that should work but you only have to turn the key to ignition on without the engine running
