Anyone know how I can do this? the remote function suddenly stopped working today. it may not be a battery issue but I thought I'd try that first.

Ooops.
Previously:
2009 Honda Civic :(
C5, C5, Xantia, BX, GS, Visa.
R4, R11TXE, R14, R30TX - x 4888
Just opened mine.
At the 'bottom' end, adjacent to the keyring, there is a slot.
Shove a fairly wide bladed screwdriver in and twist, the whole thing just falls apart.
May even buy a new battery now I have conquered that
ETA:
Interestingly enough, there are pressure pads for four buttons, wonder what the fourth is for?

The buttons in my C5 remote cracked and I bought a four button remote off Ebay to repair it. I transferred the circuit board (and key) over and it all works as it should.myglaren wrote:Interestingly enough, there are pressure pads for four buttons, wonder what the fourth is for?
The extra button is marked with a door symbol with left and right arrows. The buttton which operates the dropglasses also has this symbol and operates the dropglasses as it should. The extra button does nothing.
I suspect that the original use is for the C8, or similar, with electrically operated doors perhaps?

I don't think so, it would surely have a different picture on the button. As I said both of the auxilliary buttons have the same picture which definitely shows a door, not a tailgate or bootlid.
Query about the C8. Does the exclusive model have two electrically sliding doors? If so, I think that this will be the culprit. Possibly the Peugeot equivalent as well.
