Strange button on the Dash

Hi

I have just taken delivery of an 52 plate Xsara Picasso. There is a button on the dashboard that is not identified in the handbook.

It is opposite the central locking button and has an upward facing arrow above a downward facing arrow with a cross between them. When pressed the button lights up but I cannot find anything happening.

Please, can someone put me out of my misery, whet does the button do?

Stops the rear electric window switches working. So the kids can't play with them.

Thanks for that, I could find no mention of this in the manual.
