alternater swap

Post by casperdog2 »

I have a 1900xantia td and I have to change the alternator, the alternator is the one with the plastic back and I also have a alternator off my other xantia 1900td which has a mitsubishi alternator, both have aircon etc, can I swap the mits for the valeo( as the two types that are used, if you can then I will get the mits serviced and checked and does anyone know what the cost of a service will be as it looks a better and stronger alternator, if the mits had been on the car I would not be writing this.
cheers
when in doubt get a bigger hammer

Cant see why not! If both are air con cars, both are same CARS, then there shouldn't be a problem, just check the pully incase its a different size, then your Aux belt might not fit back on..
