their socket sets are really good actually. but they don't carry anything specific unfortunately. so what usually happens is i have an interesting idea then lose interest in it by the end of the weekend lol probably just as well

I do something similar , have a notion to do a job to prevent a more serious problem later , forget to do it and then the car breaks down !!

Like recently when I said to myself , must replace that temporary bolt and bodged spacer on the hydraulic pump mounting. Forgot , it dropped out and I lost hydraulics in the middle of town !! Fortunately the belt stayed on and just squealed like it was being tortured , if it had got into the crank pulley things would have been much worse !

The BEST supply for parts on a Sunday, A Complete spare car????

You cant beat it! and have everything you need , as long as you can remove them off the donar car in the first place!

Ah yes Paul;, but that's a cheat. Not everyone has a fleet of daily, dead and
dying Citroens lying about the place. Mind, at least you stand a chance of
finding the part you want on a donor car rather than ferreting among
gadzillions of bits'n pieces in various boxes/shelves/racks etc...

Tell me about it andrew, theres so much stuffed in so many places in the shead, it is quicker to get them off a car!

Reminds me, must fit that pipe to the anti sink on the scrap VSX Xantia, so its still removable... from its resting place..

A good friend into Citroens will often have the bit you need stashed away somewhere and good friends are usually available 7 days a week :D

Andrew, I know what you mean about ferreting around in boxes of bits. I always prided myself in knowing just what I had in my stash but recently, when looking for something unrelated I've started to discover things I forgot I had and some of the surprises are pretty pleasant too :D

Still, that happens when you have practically a complete Xantia stashed away in the garage attic...

Try finding an OEM estate muffler for a Xantia, on a Sunday! The "sports exhaust" sound has its limitations of tolerance...

Did they used to be Midnight Motors around the stadium grounds? Brilliant service - open 24/7/365!
