New C5 Concert pack

Post by steve101 »

Hello everyone. Just registered. I am thinking of trading my present car in for a pre reg C5. The one I have been looking at has the concert pack; navidrive and Philips stereo. Can anyone tell me where I can find any info on this on line? Had a test drive in an exclusive locally and I couldn't believe how smooth it was.

Is that the same one as in the C6 that costs a bomb, but won't do a bluetooth handsfree connection?

I don't think so. It's a bit cheaper than the C6 and looks different. It's also advertised as bluetooth enabled.

Steve,
If the telephone side of the stereo has a "SIM" sized veritical slot under the CD eject button then it's not got Bluetooth, This will give you access to the handbook for the car for you to compare if needed.

Thanks for that link. Just what I was after. Looks like the car has NaviDrive 3D system built in which incorporates bluetooth and spare sim card. I take it you would recomend Citroens then?

Steve,
In all honesty, when I was looking for my current car the C6, I also looked at the Jaguar XJ diesel, BMW 7 series and Mercedes E Class. If you take into acount the servicing costs alone, then it becomes a no brainer.

The quality of the ride is far superior to any other vehicle that I know, I haven't driven the new C5, but my experience with the older 2 C5 models (Dad's still using a 51 plate C5 estate with 350,000 on the clock) I'm afraid its a very simple "YES"

I have done all the usual; test drives, internet searches, reading any review I can get my hands on, but my brief was simple. I wanted a car for not too much money that would carry my wife and I on long journeys and get us there without feeling as though we had run part of the way. The C5 came out on top by a mile. You have helped me make up my mind. I am due to collect it Friday.

In that case "Welcome to the wonderful world of Citroen" you will enjoy driving one no end, and as for long journeys, you really can't beat them.

Picked up my C5 yesterday and I am very pleased with it. It is going to take me a while to get used to all the controls and user settings on it. Fuel consumption seems good too for such a big car.

Hope it serves you well, I'm sure you will find it a comfortable and relaxing long distance vehicle and equally at home for the weekly shopping.

Do let us know how you like it after a couple of weeks settling in period. And if you have any problems with it of course.

I have had the C5 for about 8 months now and can honestly say it's the best car I have owned. I have done about 12000 miles and had no problems at all. We drove to Alcossebre, Spain, last November for three weeks holiday, a round trip of around 3000 miles. It handled it perfectly. We averaged about four hundred miles a day and treated the journey as part of the holiday. I would recomend it to anyone, especially driving over the Milau viaduct.
