Xantia 2.oi 16 Valve - a 1993 K reg one, in a group test, arent they 165bhp

The BOL says theres a mk1 2.0 16v 150bhp vsx, but thats all its says because it dosent support it... doh. Could that be the engine, its a rare engine thoguht, I've not seen one for sale, all the mk2 2.0 16v are only 125 odd bhp, and the 1.8 16v 112, guess thats to meat tighter emission laws

The first 16v 2.0i seen in a Xantia was based on the famous BX 126v'er
lump although it has an iron block rather than all aluminium and it's 150bhp.
The later 16v 2.0i with a significiantly different manifold was 135bhp.
AFAIK the Activa makes do with 150bhp with the turbo'd basic lump.

I'm pretty certain the catalytic convertor element plays merry hell with the
figures in this equation. It certainly makes a significant difference to the 'edge'
of performance on the 2.0i 8v Xm's!

Well in honesty, i was under the impression that the 16v 2.oi ALWAYS had the keypad, but the 1.6, 1.8 didn't have it at first - I Know the 2.oi 8v did, as ive a customer with one, and it has it.
