Xantia 2.0 HDI 90bhp chipped

Post by wrinklet1 »

Hi guys, I had my Xantia HDI 90bhp Sx chipped a few months ago.
I did a return journey to Reading the last weekend, knocked up over a ton a few times
did the jourmey in 4hrs each way...(on sat nav!!!!)
Brimmed the tank before going, and filled it up on return.
35 Litres to brim it........
447 miles
35 dividede by 4.54ltr = 7.07925 gallons
= 63 mpg
To be honest, even if it was 40 lt, and it wasnt, it would equal 50mpg
but 35 it was..... Bloody Fantastic....

:D

What BHP did you take her up to?? Ive always maintained with the modern DERV's the more BHP the better efficiency and fuel economy - TO A CERTAIN DEGREE..

The HDi 110bhp's have always been better on fuel, better performance..

I'd also like to know more details, please. I'm coming to UK in my Hdi90 in two weeks and might have time to get it done. I could do a comparison on m.p.g. France - UK and then with chipped return. Journey is about 1100km each ay.

I got the chip from off Ebay.
connect to the fuel sensor .
Cost £89
BHP up to about 110 from 90, much better torque and adjustable.
Engine works 100% doesnt run hotter or anything
