I agree, driving is more of a pleasure over there.

Road signs are better yes, i also really like the traffic lights with the smaller lights at eye level, really a good idea.

Oh & this, have'nt a clue what it is, or even if it was French? Mind you I lay odds that it is French, knowing how well the French stick to there 'home makes'.

Very nice pitcures, thanks for sharing 8-)

Someone with an interest in Renault 4s?

The bottom picture of a blue car, that is a Citroen, im not sure what its called, could well be an original C6 I think?

Thanks I'm not surprised that it's French, but nice to know which! As for R4's.... well I like anything 60's-mid 90's if I'm honest. Earlier prefered. & Volvo's are my 'thing'

Good taste, but Volvos ... I do actually like a nice Volvo! Id have an S60, V70 or S80 any day, though im not one for any older Volvos, well, maybe a 480ES, but thats it.

Just realised you live in France, very nice :)

Actually, one year when we were holidaying in France with our 6 wheel'd C15 we were followed by a Volvo Amazon estate. It stopped with us in a car park and we got chatting about our van and the Volvo. They were from Holland and were holidaying in that area too, we met up with them a few times during the time we were there. Slightly odd.

 LOL, Yes I recently sold my 480Turbo auto here in France, despite it being RHD (re-registered like all my cars). My hand was snapped off. Turbo with auto was never an option in France :?: Currently daily driving my trusty 240GL EST with 198k & swmbo's 850 GLT with 162k. Value? £750 for both? 100% reliability, works for me 8-) Would like an R4 to play with too tho'

I can believe that, cars are much more expensive in France than over here.

£750 worth of a pair of reliable cars? Really, that is what I call value for money!

£750 is my estimate of what I'd expect to get if I were to sell now. May be a tad more.

I actually paid £1000 for the 240 in Dec 03 & £850 for the 850 in Feb 09. Sorry if I confused the issue:oops:

I've slowly replaced (virtually) everything 'wear & tear' wise on the 240 in a sort of rolling resto' mode, as & when funds allowed. Clicky pic after a polish up earlier this year:
Image

I've started on the 850: Cam & aux belts, Dizzy etc, rear discs, pads & handbrake shoes, drop-links & top engine mount so far........

Please don't shoot me for posting 'voiture etranger' here :D
In my defence, there are 2 Pugs in the family here, a 307SW & a 407SW 8-)
I'll keep my eye out & snap some more classic Frenchy motors & post 'em' as & when :D

Ah, the 240 series - perfect fodder for an American V8 transplant - well muffled, of course. Also in more stock wagon form, the perfect "Whoops, it was an accident occifer, honestly" drift machine... Wafty old barges that make you smile when driving.
