Hello again all. Long time, no post !
Bought my 1.9TD Xany over a year ago w/out a code for the radio. Only realised after I disconnected the battery a few months ago. Having been without sounds for a while, I'm looking to get the radio working before a trip to France in a week on Monday.
Can anyone help?
I've pulled the radio out this afternoon.
Model number is PU-1562A
Serial number is 0012659
There are some other numbers also:-
286-8476-10
96 279399 80 (this last one just over the CE mark)
Think the unit is a Clarion, but didn't see this stated anywhere.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Ian.

Hi Ian
Unfortunatly, the Clarion units fitted to the S2 Xant don't have their code coded into the serial number like most of the Blaupunkts of the S1's.
You've got two options, one is to desolder a tiny surface mount 8 pin chip on the PCB and wire up to a serial port for decoding with a special program which I have stashed away somewhere.
Or while buying some stuff at your local Citroen stealer, drop into conversation that you have lost your radio code and if they're having a good day they will give you it for free, failing that they'll charge you a small amount. Not sure how much though, or if its more than a small amount

Kev,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
No sure I'm going to get around to ripping into the unit to fit the serial port in the next week or so...
I'll try the main stealers as you suggest. Failing that, I feel a trip to fleabay for some slimline mp3 enabled ICE plus facia is the way to go.
Cheers muchly,
Ian.
