xantia brandshatch track day july 09

Post by citrov6 »

very good day, at Brandshatch I could feel the history and the art in the track design, compared to Bedford autodrome, all enthusiasts should drive it if they get the chance.

yes, pure driving pleasure all the way round :D

it was quite a trek even from the midlands , took a few hours to get there so i booked an afternoon session. one of the officials was telling me they only have 30 days a year to open that track for everything including the seasons races.

I've been wondering about doing something like that. :D

I asked about this, and no , they make you sign a waiver, everyone does, so everyone is careful, if they spot anyone not being careful they pull them off. but this means it is a risk you take, which is why i think it is mainly for enthusiasts to do

though the track staff do take precautions they don't want accidents on the track either, their insurance will pay for damage to their stuff, but not for us, so if there are stupid people on track that could cause an accident they will pull them off, and while you are on track keep an eye out for them and let them pass.

you are only allowed to let people pass on straights but as you saw people pass on corners too so be aware when you are on track.
