C5 1.6Hdi 2005 model - Blower Fault

Above vehicle with Auto Aircon

Blower is behaving badly - going to full speed and not able to be controlled by the normal methods.
I have read all the posts which refer to the blower module in passenger footwell.
I haven't yet gone looking for this but....

AEP,Glasgow and local Cit Dealer cannot identify any blower module on this car. Indeed valeo, when you check the part number given for the blower module do not list it as being used in the 1.6 Hdi - 2005.

Cit tell me that the blower unit is a complete assembly - with the price that involves.

Does anyone have any knowledge/experience of the unit fitted to 1.6Hd1 (Facelift 2005) saloon. Is it correct that there is no blower module?
Is the blower the same arrangement as xm/xantia with on board controller transistors?

Any advice as to removing the blower unit?

It does seem peculiar that they have changed the assembly for this one model run?

Any help welcome.
