My thanks to Steve (SteelCity) for his photo and to DIckieG for his info. That enabled me to recognise what I want, locate a source and order it.

It cost me a further £33 inc postage but the Lexia was no use to me without it, and for a total of £223 it's not so bad.

About Lexia application; Will it work on older laptop screen sizes of 800x600, or 1024x600 of the modern mini-laptops?

I have a EEE1000h with 1024x600 screen resolution, and the Lexia does not run well with that resolution. Parts of the Lexia desktop is outside the screen.
But there is a 1024x768 compressed resolution on the EEE PC thats works perfectly.

The Lexia seems to use a fixed resolution of 1024x768.

Unfortunate that you live so far north, they all seem to be clustered south of Yorkshire.

Sorry for the late reply, been busy over the last few days finishing a few bits after the top end rebuild and new clutch on the XM.

I ordered the Lexia directly from Uiftech in China. I used online chat to their sales 'manager' to ask about what was supplied, prices, postage, payment, etc.

I paid by Paypal and received the item within 5 days via DHL which also allowed me to track the parcel.

Hope that helps.

I'd like to directly compare a Chinese Lexia with the genuine one and a Lexia 2. Anyone with a Chinese one going to Stratford?

I suspect that the genuine Lexia is made in China, as is the case with most electronics these days, it wouldn't surprise me to find that some are built by the same company. This has happened to one or two Japanese electronics giants already.

When is the Stratford meeting?

Thanks. I bought second-hand Acer Aspire One A150, which has native resolution of 1024x600, but it can extend Windows desktop to larger resolutions such that the desktop pans/scrolls on screen when moving mouse cursor towards the edges.

I'm still considering to buy a Lexia. One question popped into my mind: Apart from setting up the software, do I need any secret PIN-code(s) in any stage to access/diagnose/whatnot certain units in my Cit C5 '02?

you need car PIN only if you want to program key in BSI or if you exchange ECU/BSI and need to pair with old one.

if you want to change settings in BSI you need another code for Lexia: 03114

Does anyone with one of the chinese Lexias know if you can program in the injector tolerance codes with them, as would be needed if changing injectors in an HDi?
