1.8 Exhaust, Advice on fitting

Post by lasthope »

I got a new exhaust (pattern part) for my Xsara Picasso 1.8i petrol 51 reg from ebay here is a pic of it ,need to know on pic does that little pipe I marked red fit into cat, if so the one I got did not so I cut it off, my old one I took off was the same without the little pipe sticking out, just now it seems to be blowing a bit,

if you have already cut the bit off the new pipe and i belive this goes to the rear of the cat, only if at rear of cat you can just seperate the joint and smear a nice thick layer of exhaust jointting paste in the bell emd of the cat,

then clap it back together it'll be fine without the short stump

regards malcolm

ps.
you must never use paste in the front of a CAT
