Xantia engine top mount

Post by firstrebel »

I bought an engine top mount from my local Citroen parts stockist recently and decided to do it today. Having removed the 'curved retaining plate' I got a better look at the existing mount. It did not look like the one I bought - see pictures. The part number of the one I got is 1827.10, is this correct.

Haynes book then says to take out the rubber buffer, all I could see was a round handle that looked like it needed to be unscrewed, but was too tight to undo by hand.

Looking at the photo's I take it you're changing the gearbox top mount, if so then here's an example of the old and new versions of that mounting in addition the part number you mention Bob is correct.Image

It's the one under the fuel hand primer pump.

Thanks

Rob the lower picy in your first post is a gear box mount/hanger,

Thanks. I went over to Tomo's to order it. It shows as a 'spacer', but at £9.29 (after discount) it must be something a bit more than a spacer normally is.
