Gearbox ECU

Post by Stempy »

Is it possible for Lexias and such like to read the gearbox ecu if it's removed from the car? The reason I ask is that last time Richard gave my Xantia a diagnostic his Lexia wouldn't talk to the gearbox ecu, although it seemed fine with the engine management ecu, and I'd like to get it checked for fault codes.

There are a few problems with doing it of the car, firstly is whether any recorded faults will be lost then secondly having a breakout lead to connect it up. If you're around my way again give me a shout and we'll have another go.

Thanks matey. I'm going to try to give the old girl a bit of a refurb over the coming couple of weeks so I'll check as many electrical connectors as I can get to during the process then give you a shout.
