Auxiliary Belt Help, Part number required

Post by dymchurch405 »

Righto, i did offer my Xantia away for free but a mate of mine offered to fix it and give it some TLC. However it broke again last week. I am on a mission now to keep this car forever, it's a bit reminiscent of Christine the way it acts. I just can't get rid of it.

The neck of the idler wheel bracket has snapped as per the pictures, so a quick plea for where to find a complete assy, car is a 94 TD Xantia with the Diavia aircon.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Hi Mark,

If you dont mind me asking, how has the neck managed to snap?

If you need the idler wheel GSF do them. If you need the bracket, then a breakers yard shoudl have one...or ebay....?

If not then give Paris Autos a bell in Stockport, or M&M Auto engineers in Holmfirth. They break some Xantias.

Vince, cheers for the reply, i'll give them a ring next week.

The aircon pump snapped the bracket and pulled everything down, which i think started things off.

Since then the ac has been bypassed but the belt fell off the idler was bent.

Trying to undo the idler just finished it off.

Citroen don't stock any more so breakers it is. Thanks for clearing up the GSF stuff.
