Confession time!
I’m thinking of scrapping my ‘98 Series 2 Xantia 2.1TD Exclusive. The cambelt jumped for the second time due to a stripped auxiliary belt when some of the bits of the auxiliary belt got inside the cam cover. Although I subsequently reset the timing and got it going again, its not happy (ok once its running but reluctant to start). I’m sure it needs a new auxiliary belt tensioner to stop it happening again on top of a new cambelt and anything else required to sort out the poor starting. Thinking of having a stripfest over Easter. Will be putting a fair few bits and pieces into stock as my replacement car is a Xantia Hdi Exclusive. However, other bits will be available at very reasonable prices. I am located near Leeds, the car is a Metalic blue hatchback (paint code KPK) and has covered 225k miles.

As much as I hate to see a 2.1TD die, provided it enables others to live then I'm content.. It has had a good life, having clocked up 225K
If you do break it Rory, can I put my name down for the hydractive sphere blocks complete with electrovalves and hydractive ECU please?
