Dodgy Xantia heater blower fan.

Post by jonathan_dyane »

The heater fan on the Xantia in my sig is becoming tempramental, first ocassionally refusing to work, then since the weekend almost always refusing to work. The car has A/C and so the 'climate control' system, which I must confess I have never had anything to do with. The fan even refuses to work on maximum heat and fan setting.

Does this sound like a resistor pack, and if so where is it fitted.

Many thanks,
Jonathan

Ignotion switch is burning out preventing enough current flowing.
It's an easy fix to install a relay and get your fan working again.

Thanks very much for that Xac, next time the blower fails to operate I shall try the HRW, and if it is inoperative will be carrying out the relay mod.
