Xantia VSX alloy wheel key

Post by ohms »

Hot having a lot of luck at the moment, I have no locking alloy wheel nut key to get the wheels off my new Xantia.

Previous owner can't find it either...double:cry:

No way of bashing an impact socket on them to get them off. Any ideas for solution?

There's a chap on ebay who sells keys for £5, but you need to know the key code...A number from 1-30 apparently.

Help appreciated chaps:D

Have you had your missus cleaning up the innards of the car yet ?

I know from a lifes experience, that our best mates in life have sort of a hawk eye on anything not fitting the place ...

Deffo not in the car, and unfortunately me and the Mrs are no longer on good enough terms to expect her to come round and disect the interior of the xantia for a lost alloy wheel key.

I have enough of a game getting her to let me see my Son, never mind anything else!!!

Thanks Anders, you've just reminded me that a lost alloy wheel locking key really is the last of my worries.

Could you fill the cap from a pop bottle or something with plastacine/blue tac etc and push it on the offending nut to gain an impression of the hole coordination, then transfer the resultant pattern to paper and scan and send it to the ebay seller or even post it, so you may get the right key without knowing the code?

If you know which dealer originally sold the car, there is a fair chance that they kept a record of the key number.

if its still fitted with ther original locking nuts it might have left the factor with, then you should just be able to go to any dealer and they will be able to sort a replacement locking wheel nut tool
