Hi everyone
A lady friend of mine has a problem with starting her Xsara 1.6 from cold or should i say keeping it going.
Sounds very much like the cold start isn't working and it needs plenty of throttle to stop it from stalling.
Any ideas? I know details are a little sketchy but any help is appreciated.
Cheers Mark

Definately the stepper motor at fault.
This is the small electric motor that holds open the throttle butterfly valve to keep a decent idle according to engine temperature.
Best viewed at as an electric adjustable throttle stop screw.
This little motor may be integrated in the throttle housing, such that the complete throttle housing unit is necessary to replace.
