strange fault on my x reg saxo (non central locking) ... drivers door lock will not unlock the car either with the key or using the tab thingy inside.
they both must still be connected as they will travel about half the distance required but will go no further
i have managed to get the inner door panel of but that doesnt seem to help much as i cant get my hand into anything useful and i have emptied a lot of wd40 into everything in sight to try to persuade it to release
has anyone got any ideas about what might have gone wrong (or a cunning way to get the door open that doesnt involve a tin opener)

Door locks are a nuisance when they deadlock 
Hi Weety
As I read it you have already done the usual stuff to try release the lock.
Before you go for a new (breakers) door then try endless times thumping your butt gently but firmly against the door, while you apply a firm handforce pressure against door handle to unlock.
The idea is that your thumping will press in the door seal and thus apply a short relief on the lock latch mechanism.
If you hit your luck the latch will suddenly unhook while you are doing your rumba ...

hmmm no luck yet but i am going to keep trying (got to be easier than angle grinding the door of) given it aother can of wd 40 as well
