My exclusive has heated leather seats but I am unsure if they are actually working. I have checked and cleaned the switch things and they all seem ok and not worn out tracks. Should i really feel it burning my arse? I cant tell if it is getting warm at all as once i sit on it it warms up!
is there a fuse to check? which wiring plug under the seat should i check (not orange!) and is there a way to prove they work (bridge out the switch?)?
any ideas greatfully recieved.
cheers

oh, ok thanks. might both be dead then. I was sure i had a little bit of heat for a brief time from the drivers but now nothing.
I guess when people kneel on them fetching stuff in and out the car it must damage them really...
anything else to check before i resort to my own heat?!

The seat and back are separate, my seat bit works but the back bit doesn't. I pulled my seat apart and found that the wires were broken. I made a repair which worked for a while, but it now seems to have gone again, probably broken elsewhere.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

hi,
I have checked the 10amp fuse and thats ok (fuse 5) but it refers to that fuse being the fuse for the heated seat relay. Where is this? how can i test it? when putting the seat on wouldnt you expect to hear the relay click? would the current draw be enough to drop the revs or is it a little low?
cheers
