Xantia Pressure Regulator Weepage/Drip

Post by addo »

I'm pleased to find the pinion valve bone dry (touch vinyl!) but the main reg has a drip/splash of sorts going on.

Its upper surfaces look dry, and the sphere/reg seal looks good - no leakage apparent from there. Where the fluid seems to be coming from, is possibly the union between the screwed on lower "hat" which fits the leak-off hose, and the regulator body.

Fluid loss is slight, and occurs when there are system pressure fluctuations, such as parking manoevres. The accumulator was new in May 2008.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Adam.
