Citroen New Parts database help wanted!

Post by andmcit »

Hi guys, here I am again asking for help from you PC users as I'm doggedly
remaining a Mac user despite my inability to see any of the diagrams in
Citroen's database as I don't have ISOVIEW or whatever crap the PC ONLY
plug in program is...

I'd love to make some sense of the coolant pipes on my father's VSX 2.0 8v
auto Xantia by looking at the schematic and gauging prices etc for the
pipework.

The car is an M plate with a wing mounted expansion tank and I'm particularly
interested in the pipework running from the rad to the rear offside
(timing belt end) of the engine! Also of interest, is whether these pipes
are the same on the similarly engined 2.0i 8v petrol Xm manual or auto!

Anyone?

I can always rely on help from a generous PC equipped forum member here
- and as always it's much appreciated!! :D

Hi Andrew, I've just tried looking on Laser and there are too many variations/part numbers to make any real sense of it all without chassis or RP number's.

Hi Colin.

Many thanks - this will help get my father running in the Xantia again
and possibly help an Xm lad on another forum too!!

The Xantia 2.0i Auto 8v is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
a similar 2.0i 8v manual Xm is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
and 2.0i Auto 8v Turbo VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

In your own time!!! :D

Some mobs are peddling an Isoview for Macs.
Here’s what I’ve made of it, with the VIN’s as filenames:

That is brilliant Clogzz thank you very much for sparing your time!

Those different schematics have opened up more questions for me than
they answer but very much help pin certain things down!

Can anyone further illustrate what the same cooling circuit is for the following
Xm and Xantia!!!?

VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] is a 2.0i XM and
VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] a TD Xantia

This isn't all random, I'm trying to nail down two issues here with identical
cooling pipe issues!

That is brilliant
Thanks, :) that wasn’t difficult because yesterday was a day that the Citroën site worked normally.

BVA ... BVM
BVA is automatic transmission … boîte à vitesses automatique.
BVM is manual gearbox … boîte à vitesses manuelle.

an invalid VIN
Had that problem too.
VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] should be VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]3AX0000AX0895

Clogzz and Colin; I really appreciate both of you helping me here! Thank you.

Out of interest, with the potential to sort myself out to use the spangly 'new
look' pr.net where would I get the mac friendly ISOVIEW you mention Clogzz?

I've Googled frantically in vain and would be very keen for a link etc!! :D

Doesn’t look like it’s a day where things go according to plan  I keep getting this message when searching:

DBselect sess_user failed 1

Here’s what I got before the user failed:

http://www.itedo.com/E/result.php?searc ... n&start=81

http://www.cactuscode.org/isoView/IsoVi ... sh.tar.bz2

http://www.cactuscode.org/isoView/IsoVi ... osh.tar.gz

Can’t see why our vintage pictures that are jpeg’s need Isoview.

I use an old G4 Mac and have no problem using the Citroen site. I get all the things that you can get on a PC. Don't ask me how, I just logged on and it all works in a PC like fashion. This is with OSX 10.4.11
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right
