Thanks guys. The problem is the input pipe to the cooler itself which is only a few quid cheaper than the cooler itself and i am loathed to spend such money on les than 1metre of standard pipe with what i consider a design flaw in that it is not flexible at all :(

Local scrapyard dont have any HDi Estates in but my temp fix has failed. Sad

Im guessing the piles of snow that had ice'd in the works car park in the last few days had caught it a little and made the cooler loose again.

The problem i have is that the cooler looks and seems perfect. The problem is the feed pipe into it has the connector on it which is some form of push type and is plastic and has cracked Sad

The pipe from citroen, is £55 +VAT and the cooler is £60+VAT...
Complete set of snap-on fuel lines to and from the tank in France is €34 Euros.... the UK price must be an error.

The cooler gives no probs unless wiped off the floor pan.... I always wind the suspension 1/2 UP to enter the driveway, which in any case is good for the hydraulics.

I wouldn't have thought that running an HDi on BIO is a very good idea in the first place.....

Well made BioDiesel should be fine in any modern car. Rubish biodiesel is another story mind.. Straight or Waste veggie oil is definately a no go as its to thick untill the engine is warmed up...

I was using Biodiesel made by Green Fuels Ltd*, actually a spinoff of an Aquajet facility. They make it for their own fleet and were selling it to other oil burners on the same industrial estate - our factories are neighbours to them.
It worked perfectly, indistinguishable from normal diesel other than being considerably cheaper.

Initially it was produced from WVO but that became too expensive and they switched to virgin rapeseed oil.

They can't produce it economically enough to sell it on anymore so I am back to normal diesel.

One thing I did notice and was a bit disappointed with was that my car didn't smell like a chip shop, there was barely any smell at all, certainly less than ordinary diesel.

* just looked them up and that appears so be incorrect. They have an Audi A6 as a demo vehicle with Green Fuels stickers on but it appers that Green Fuels are the suppliers of the processing equipment.
