Xantia ESTATE Rear bumper removal

Post by citroenxm »

Hi All

Ive a P reg S1 Xantia estate in nearly ready to go out, but the rear bumper needs removing for repair or replace...

My Q is, although the Haynes BOL says remove inner wheel arch trim to gain access to the bumper side nuts.. um, I cant actually see them, theres body work in the way... So were do I get access to the bumper, underneath? Or am I missing something???

I know how to do it on the Hatches.... :)

Thanks

The BoL is in fine form on estate rear bumpers Paul  It's obvious they never saw an estate when writing the BoL. Come to think of it, did they actually see any Xantia in the metal?

No need to remove the shields, the side nuts are accessed from within the boot side cubbyholes. Pull the lids off and undo the plastic nuts and fold down the back panels of the cubbyholes to get inside as for replacing bulbs and you'll feel the nuts in there...

They're actually easier to remove than hatch bumpers :D
