Post by Napoleon »

Just wondering, hope it's nota too stupid a n00b question.

I think DickieG has one, obviously he would need to confirm this.

Indeed they do - citrojim has just written in his blog of a recent trip in it that confirms all rumours of what a wonderful machine it is.

Read all about it here in DickieG's blog.

Everyone should experience a ride in a DS at some time in their lives. It really is rather magical :D

I've been tempted - they tend to range hugely in price here from $200 to over $20K but as they need dry storage, it's been ruled out for now.

There's an unloved DSpecial out on the street about a mile off. Hasn't been driven for years.

As mentioned above I do have a DS, was it just an 'out of interest question' or something more specific/information about DS's you're after?

Dickie, it was just an 'out of interest' kind of question.

I see just about every kind of 'modern' Citroen on the roads, but I couldn't, and cannot, remember the last time I saw a DS. Only on film.

They must have made an impression, however, as they do hold quite an interest, don't they?

:)

You need to holiday here, in time to catch a CCC outing! There's very few "daily driven" Dees, especially in summer (they don't cool well) but plenty get taken out and about for weekends and other occasions.

FWIW, a ragged but complete '57 (Slough) Dee recently sold on our Fleabay for about £1200.

Some really interesting links there - it's such an iconic car - reminds me so much of cops piling out in pursuit of beret-wearing villains.
