. And would be a complete ****** to get out with the engine in-situ as you can't see it or get to it. Not too bad with the engine out, just an unnecessary expense.

If you've got the engine out, or are doing strenuous stuff behind the engine, watch out for the fitting where the hose is attached to the back of the water pump housing:
