Can anyone help, i am installing a remote central locking alarm and need to know about how standard central locking works e.g + positive or - negative pulse system, or single point system with additional wire motor

im pretty sure its a negative pulse system but its been a while since ive done one,why dont you put a test lamp connected to earth into each pin on the control unit in turn ? if you can lock & unlock it by touching the relavant pins with the testlamp then its a -ve pulse.
