Tonight it's as bad as it ever was in the past and it's driving me mad!
Is it just me being sooo lucky or is there a problem that needs fettling?
Jim?

I have to confess This most recent one was caused by me. hence why I've been off the air all the weekend.
I have a funny problem with my 3 mobile internet and IE7 that causes the forum to spawn 20 or so guest accounts under my IP every time I try to log on. This causes the forum to flood the database and grind it to a halt..
As to why, I have not a clue yet...
So, I've kept off for a while. Back now though

Jim have there been any changes to the cookie expiry time?
I've got the one on my forum set quite short (I think the default may be a month, haven't divided by 60 enough to know for certain) as a security feature, so hackers can't use other people's sessions.
I find if you set my browser to remember passwords, then all I have to do is pick my username from the remembered list in the username box (remembered by the browser from all the forums I go to), and then it automatically enters my password.
Ok it adds a second or two to loging in, but it's more secure than having long cookie times.
