Citroen C2 cutting out

My wife has a 07 reg Citroen C2 1.1i, and has recently had problems with it cutting out, usually when it is warm. The battery light stays on, but the engine does not always die. On a decent run last sunday, the light came on, and she lost power steering, elec windows, etc. even though the engine didn't die.
Obviously it is still under warranty from Citroen, but was just wondering if anyone had any ideas before I make the trek to the local Citroen dealer, any help much appreciated.

Could be a slipping alternator belt but im not sure how the PAS works on these, i think its electric so its possible that when the battery isnt charging that the PAS dies..

Definately needs to go back to citroen to look into.
