Hi everyone,
It’s time to replace the old coolant in my Xantia 2.0 HDI with some clean new PH neutral.
Last time I did this about two years ago, I didn’t manage to drain the engine block. That is I didn’t manage to locate the engine drain plug!! ;-(
I did look for it buy I couldn’t see it from the above the engine and what seemed like a plug of sorts from the bottom was too far up and crammed I didn’t get the courage to fight with it.
According to my Haynes manual it’s supposed to be on the side of the engine that faces the firewall! It doesn’t say anything about poor accessibility. Anybody know if this dang plug really is so hard to get to or am I looking at the wrong one?
Cheers,
Gabriel

Remove the radiator large bottom and top hoses from where they are fitted on the engine. Then remove thermosat from housing and flush the best a garden hose cam do it. That will do perfect.
Dont try remove them from the rad, as this fitting is a bajonet snap on type.
