Xantia Estate O/S mirror adjustment

Does anyone know how to improve the adjustment to the O/S door mirror on a Xantia Estate? The N/S is electrically adjusted but Citroen decided to make the O/S manual. There is a small knob to move which kind of does the job but I always end up moving the mirror manually. I guess it is a door panel off job but wondered if anyone has any tips?

The only explanation for half and half mirrors is the LX trim spec but as
it's an estate Citroen possibly deemed electric passenger mirror important
for the driver to control electrically!

An upgrade to an electric one will need more than just the mirror as I
believe the wiring won't be there waiting from new! It's doable but may
need some wiring, switches and control unit...

and the end of the day though, surely its like the drivers' seat; you
adjust it the once and never need to touch it again or do you share
driving the car!?

Thanks for your reply - yes I do share the driving. I just wanted to try and restore the mechanism back to the day it used to work properly. I have been used to dropping the window and nudging the mirror.

I just wondered if anyone has done what I am looking to do.
