In response to Jim's invitation under the Airbag Warning Light thread.. here's a bit about my luverly Activa. Acquired from local Cit specialist last August, a
Series 2, quartz metallic, first registered on a V plate on 5/11/99 then transferred to a Citroen Dealer in Northern Ireland and given a new Registration Number (KUI 6101). (Have a NI Test Cerificate dated 18/2/06)
Repatriated in 2007. Goodies: leather seats, air con (or should that be *climate control* ?) sun roof, 6xCD player in boot, Winter pack (heated mirrors...etc).
Had a bit of trouble with the rear o/s ram, but luckily found a good used one & a consequent mention in Dickie G's Citroenian Column.
Previous Xantia was a TD LX.... but I like this much better ... desire for an XM wiped out
Needless to say I'm a (almost 73 year old) ardent Citroen person, since first sighting a DS in Dakar way back in '57 ... But that's another story...

I was lucky, Kev... as it was, in a manner of speaking, waiting for someone to take it on just as I decided to let my M reg TD LX go (after 3 years in my hands and with close to 225000 on the clock !). The difficulty in finding a second-hand ram nearly changed my mind... as they are very very hard to find and new one virtually beyond my budget. Activas seem pretty scarce around these parts (West Yorkshire) and I am hoping to find an enthusiast/expert one day to test drive "Kui" But up to now ... and from what I have read in this forum and among the Citroenian pages (back copies aplenty to borrow from said Cit Specialist) there doesn't seem to be owt much wrong. e.g. the clicking whirring sounds emanate from beneath if a door is opened after the engine is turned off, but the headlamp washer relay is kaput... Oh yes, and I nearly burnt my backside *playing* with those pesky seat heater controls.

Sounds like a real nice one you have there Jimbow All the "toys" as well, excellent! In contrast, my Activa, although a MK2, is the "poverty-spec" model with cloth seats and no sunroof but I still love it. I love it enough that it won the toss between keeping it or my 205GTi when a crunch came and a "sensible" car was needed; hence the 2.1TD estate on the fleet
I replaced my rear ram bush today, amongst a few other little jobs, and now have a totally silent rear The last (hopefully) major job on mine is to replace the gearchange cables. The gearchange is a bit sloppy. I have the bits but it's rather a major job, needing the exhaust to be dropped.
I think you have already found out but I warn you, Activas are compulsive and guaranteed to put a big smile on your face when you have a chance to drive it with a bit of spirit
