Ok so the Xantia i went to see today wasnt a good one, but fingers crossed there is one that is up for sale local to me that sounds alot better.

127K with FCSH. Looks clean and tidy and is being sold through a trader that is linked to a personal friend of mine so may be able to get some off the price and find out the truth of any problems with the car.

Im going to call them tomorrow but then my only problem is i wouldnt get to see the car until Sunday due to work and family commitments... :roll:

So as stated...fingers crossed :wink:

try to see the car before its been started up that day, then remove the header tank cap and get someone to crank the engine over, whilst you see if there is any activity at all in the coolant system,

if there is it has got head gasket problems

Bubbles etc you will get some coolant movement due to the water pump but bubbles is not good news.

Unless its her name :wink: but then that's a different story altogether :lol: .

as DickieG says bubbles even eruptions, or coolant expantion in any way, with the engine stone cold there is not usualy much if any coolant movement at all
