Hi,
Will putting on a straight through pipe be against MOT rules--if car had cat to start with.??

No, perfectly OK to do that Greg as a cat is not a legal requirement on a diesel in the UK and does not form part of the MOT test.

The cat is there to help reduce NOx emissions, which are not subject to MOT testing on any vehicle as yet.

Take the thing off with complete impunity and enjoy a small performance boost as a result!

I am off to Worthing in an hour to get my new pipe , £44 all in from GSF ;)

May even miss the racy exhaust note and the now very loud turbo spin whistle...

That GSF part number N21052 shows the pipe for an Xantia TD---no year. Anyone put one onto a Series 2 Xant?
