i all have got a sony cdx s2200 mp3 player in my 2000 xantia hdi and noticed it has a socket for remote will this work with the steering wheel controls with the correct lead Connects2 CTSONYLEAD thanks jon

I think you'll need a proper conversion cable, which seems to cost about £40.

There are varying degrees of success in using these things but I believe Sony head units generally work quite well.

Most car audio retailers should be able to sort you out but, as ever, shop around.

Autoleads PC99-109 cable will work fine also.

Unless you have to have steering wheel controls the proper Sony 'joystick' would probably be cheaper and control more functions. I had one in my Xantia, I fitted it where the cruise stalk would normally go.

I had a sony mp40 in my xantia it worked fine with the steering wheel controls .And now it works with the stalk control in my c5.
