Window washers C5 2.2 Hdi estate

does anyone have any experience of C5 window washers. Got a 2.2 hdi estate basically the washers work when they want now they appear to have given up the ghost!! :x
Any info would be great as i really dont fancy a trip to the garage!! :evil:

The estate washer pumps are sensitive to the screenwash used. I think people advise putting a hosepipe down the filler tube and giving it a good blast.

Have you checked the fuses? Can you hear the pump working?

If you top up the screenwash does it leak out of the tank?

If the problem is on the front jets: I had the same problem and I used a portable compressor to clear them. First I disconnected the pipe at the joint on the underside of the bonnet and blew compressed air through each of the two sides. Then I blew air through the actual jets themselves using the small airbed attachment for the compressor. It took a couple of tries at this. They seem fine now and have been working OK for some months.

Thanks for the advice, I'm not getting any sound from the pumps is this an easy problem to rectify. Thanks 8-[

yep checked all fuses, all seem ok.

Yes. I wasn't getting any sound from the pumps either. Maybe they stall.
